Why choose Nikki Hall Equine Massage Therapist?

With a fresh mind and skillset from a UK Rural Skills approved course alongside 12 months experience I am insured, enthusiastic and highly recommended from clients following treatments given to various horses, all with their own individual needs. Each routine I use is tailored to suit the individual horse where a full static and dynamic assessment is carried out. The history of the horse discussed as well as workload, routine and any underlying issues which may affect the horse during treatment.

Should a horse not withstand a deep tissue massage I also offer a relaxation routine to suit the sore, young or sensitive horse. As stated above, each routine is unique and with communication between therapist and equine being key, I allow the horse to guide me through what and where they prefer me to treat, to be able to get the very best out of their treatment.

Each routine begins with palpation, notes are made which can be referred to during the treatment should there be any tense, tight or sore areas. Any questions may be asked, and I am always happy to talk through what I am doing, why and how it should help following my visit. The horse’s reaction is my guide to pressure applied, time spent on an area and the amount of stretch asked for as my intention is to improve. If a follow up treatment is required, this can be discussed and arranged to ensure the horse has my utmost attention where required. All treatments are bi-lateral and will always receive a full body massage not just a specific area.

After care advice is demonstrated, explained and can be sent written up, on request, for all owners to carry out in between visits. These may include stretches, ridden exercises and if needed an exercise plan put together to improve treated muscles and the horse’s general well-being and way of going.

Prices and packages may vary depending on the type of treatment, block bookings and follow ups. I would like to make it clear; I do not charge by the hour as some visits may take longer than others. Nothing is rushed - being thorough and effective is just as important as the treatment itself.

I cover areas within a 12-mile radius of Cannock and currently cover Lincolnshire. Areas in between will be considered depending on the number of horses per visit. Bookings can be made via my Facebook business page, email or via the enquiry form on my website as I cannot always promise to take a call if I am treating, however, voice messages will be answered if you’d prefer to talk to me directly.
